“Pisong,” coined to refer to Baclayon North Central, now Miguel Oppus Memorial Elementary School (MOMES) in Baclayon will hold its first ever grand reunion come this May 21 – 22, 2016.

The 2-day activity will kick off with a mass and a motorcade in the morning of May 21 which will be followed by a program that will last until 5 o’clock. By 7:30 in the evening, the first ever Mr. & Ms. Alumni will be crowned, highlighting the whole day activity. The second day will be a batch day out to give chance to each batch for a get-together and all batches will then be united in the evening for the grand disco together with the Center Stage Band.

“Everything is all set for the big day,” Mrs. Ugpo, the coordinator said. “This gathering hopes to really strengthen the ties between the alumni and the school staff as a strong stakeholder of the school,” she added.

During the event, Mr. Raul Manding, a retired consulate general is the guest speaker. Further, retired teachers will also be given plaque of recognition for those unwavering years of service in MOMES.

MOMES’ principal Ma. Theresa P. Salas during the last batch representative meeting last Friday said that since this is the first time it is expected that there still are other batches who might not be able to attend thus the faculty and staff of MOMES are promising for another reunion every three years.

For those alumni who have just learned of this big event, please feel free to contact through MOMES landline, 540-9516 and look for Ma’am Matet, the school principal or through Ma’am Inta, the coordinator, on her cellular #09292401198 or search migueloppusmemorialelem at facebook account.
