The “Tigum Bol-anon sa Tibuok Pilipinas” or TBTP will be officially launched during the Bohol Day celebration next month which coincides with this year’s Sandugo festivity.

TBTP is the “domestic version” of the Tigum Bol-anon sa Tibuok Kaliubutan (TBTK) which is hosted in Bohol once every three years. This time, Boholanos from the various provinces in the country will be invited to a grand reunion of “sa-nos” on July 22, which is the Bohol Day celebration. TBTP will be held on years in between the hosting of TBTK in the province.

TBTP Chair Romulo Tagaan, who is also the head for Center for Culture and Arts Development (CCAD) said  this is in partnership with the private sector which recently  re-engineered the annual Sandugo Festival.

TBTP is a yearly gathering of Boholanos all over the country aimed to enhance tourism value and community involvement.

Themed “Tanda Sa Atong Mga Kaliwat,” TBTP would be a three-day event starting July 22, Bohol Day, up to July 24.

Ways and Means Committee Chair Engr. Albert Uy is now inviting every Boholano residing outside Bohol to register.

A very minimum registration fee of P750.00 will entitle every Boholano to attend the festivities and gala night on July 22 at 7:00 in the evening and join in the fun of a Barrio Fiesta kind of celebration, with local food and music to entertain everyone.

Gov. Edgar M. Chatto is so excited to meet everyone and is expecting Boholano associations from different provinces to collectively register their members.

“Hopefully, we could come up with a set of officers or set a meeting relative to it and henceforth, plan for other activities in the coming years,” said the governor.

The TBTP secretariat released a tentative “flow of activities” where the opening day, also the Bohol Day Celebration, will be opened with a Thanksgiving Mass, followed by wreath-laying ceremonies at the Plaza Rizal.
