There were 18 new town mayors and 27 new vice mayors assumed their respective offices last Friday together also with the newly sworn in provincial officials led by Gov. Edgar Chatto and Vice Gov. Dionisio Balite with their 10-amn Sangguniang Panlalawigan members.
At the provincial leadershhip with Chatto and Balite who assumed office last Friday were Board Members Benjie Arcamo, Abelion Damalerio and Ricky Masmayor of the first district, Tomas Abapo, Nino Rey Boniel, Agapito Avenido of the second district; Victor Tirol, Kristene Alexie Tutor, Jade Bautista and Elpidio Jala. of the third district,.
The three re-elected congressmen likewise assumed another 3-year term in their respective districts, namely Rene Relampagos for the first district, Aris Aumentado for the second district and Arthur Yap for the third district.
In the city, re-elected Mayor Baba Yap and Vice Mayor Toto Veloso assumed the city leadership together with their 10-man Sangguniiang Panlungsod membershp, namely: city councilors Adam Jala, Jojo Bompat, Augustinus Gonzaga, Betty Torralba, Pepot Besas, Dulce Glovasa, Eliezer Borja, Jonas Cacho, Greggy Gatal and Vicente Polinar.
The 18 new town mayors are Efren Tungol, Alburquerque; Inday Simacio, Anda; Benny Uy, Baclayon; Antonio Jumawid, Batuan; Gisela Boniel, Bien Unido; Nelson Yu, Calape; Llyn Iven Lim, Cortes; Natividad Gonzaga, Danao; Ben Balo, Guindulman; RB Imboy, Loay; Elvi Relampagos, Loon; Juanito Jayoma, Mabini; Mer Arocha, Maribojoc; Eping Estavilla, Pres Garcia (Pitogo); Manay Mendez, San Miguel; Juliet Dano, Sevilla; William Jao, Tubigon and Costan Reyes, Ubay. The remaining 29 other municipalities had their incumbent mayors re-elected during the May 9 polls.
