Boholanos residing in the various provinces in the country are sounded off to block the fourth weekend of July in order to join a grand homecoming dubbed as the “Tigum Bol-anon sa Tibuok Pilipinas (TBTP).  This is the “domestic” version of the TBTK which is held in the province once every three years.

The popular “Tigum Bol-anon sa Tibuok Kalibutan” (TBTK) is held annually but is being hosted on three different places (on rotation), United States, Canada and Bohol.

In the case of the new TBTP, this homecoming of Boholanos residing in the country will be hosted in the province, the launching is on July 22 which coincides with Bohol Foundation Day.

Boholanos or any Boholano association in the various provinces are advised to signify their participation of the TBTP launching thru TBTP Secretariat at 0917-8960695 or send their email to romulotagaan@yahoo.com for  Romy Tagaan; 0917-3021701 for Ms. Loinda Saluan; and 038-4123666 for Ms. Leah Hangad.

The TBTP launching is part of the Sandugo Festival which kicked off last Friday with the Sandugo Trade Fair at the Tagbilaran City Seaport.

The TBTP launching will be opened with a Thanksgiving Mass, followed by wreath-laying ceremonies at Plaza Rizal.

A complimentary breakfast or “painit” for registered guests will be given at the CPG Heritage House, to be followed by the Bohol Day Program at the Bohol Cultural Center.

The homecomers will participate in the first to be held “Bangga sa Kuradang,” at 4 o’clock in the afternoon of July 22. Later in the evening, they will be tendered with a “welcome dinner” with live entertainment. Boholano showbiz personalities will be invited to grace the affair.

Just like the Tigum Bol-anon Tibuok Kalibutan (TBTK), this activity aims to draw fellow Boholanos residing in the various provinces to come and celebrate and enjoy the same fun, excitement and spirit of camaraderie.

Themed “Tanda Sa Atong Mga Kaliwat,” TBTP would be a two-day event, July 22-23, opening on Bohol Day, July 22.

Tagaan said the ways and means committee has set a minimum registration fee of P750.00. This will entitle each Boholano to attend the festivities and gala night on July 22 at 7:00 in the evening and join in the fun of a Barrio Fiesta with live entertainment.

For his part, Gov. Edgar M. Chatto is so excited to meet everyone and is expecting Boholano associations from different provinces to collectively register their members.

“Hopefully, we could come up with a set of officers or set a meeting relative to it and henceforth, plan for other activities in the coming years,” said the governor.
