The best of the 15 finalists in the Sandugo Song Festival was adjudged last night at the Bohol Cultural Center
The winners are: “Ikaw ug Ako,” composed by Ralph Maligro, intepreted by Angelito Zamora, Jr and Mercedita Quiachon (Upbeat category); “Dili Na” composed by Mark Nicasio, interpreted by Ala Mida Golosino (Ballad category) and “Kaniadto Ug Karon,” composed and interpreted by John Rey Fuentes (Novelty category). The winners grabbed P40,000 each while other finalists received P10,000 each
Fr. Irvem Garsuta chaired the board of judges with Roberto del Rosario and Marivic Tocmo as members.
The annual song festival made its innovation of picking one winner in three difference categories, according to composer Eddie Orig, who heads the organizing committee.
The songfest was aired live over dyRD-AM.
