A suspected pusher who reportedly maintained a drug den in Brgy. Cogon, Tagbilaran City, and two alleged users were rounded up by police in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday.

The alleged pusher, 40-year-old Patricio Bernales, an aircon technician who lives in the said location, sold P500 worth of suspected shabu to an undercover cop resulting in his arrest.

Suspected drug users Nino Jay Ybanez, 34, and Maruel Bueno, 34, were also arrested during the operation conducted in Bernales’ drug den located in Upper Calceta, in Brgy. Cogon.

Police recovered three other packs of suspected shabu from Bernales while Bueno and Ybanez, also Cogon residents, were caught in possession of drug sorting paraphernalia.

Both suspected users admitted to have been previously subjected to Oplan Tokhang but continued to engage in illegal drug activities.

All three suspects are currently locked up in the detention facility of the Tagbilaran City police awaiting charges to be filed against them. (Willy Maestrado)
