Bohol is displaying its pride agricultural products for the first time at the “Tabo sa Kapitolyo” in Cebu which is among the highlights of the province’s celebration of its 446th founding anniversary on August 6, 2016.

The agricultural fair started Monday at the Capitol compound in Cebu City where the Bohol contingent set up stalls displaying products such as squash and banana chips; carrots, sweet potato tops and squash noodles; and chocolates made from cacao or tableja de binsoy.

The Bohol group, led by the Provincial Agriculturist Office through the office’s agri-enterprise development chief, Leila Bernido, will be selling the products at the fair until the end of the week.

Bringing their Bohol-made products, members of various cooperatives such as the Badiang Self-help Multi-Purpose Cooperative under the Bohol Made Micro-Agri Processor for Development of Barangay Bacong, Anda also comprised the Bohol contingent.

Bohol’s participation in the annual event is intended to promote agricultural products in the province, particularly those made by the victims of the earthquake that jolted Bohol in 2013.

The province is expected to join the “Tabo sa Kapitolyo” annually and display more products in the next years. (Allen Doydora)
