The Tagbilaran City Philippine National Police (PNP) is set to relocate its headquarters after its chief received on Monday a city-donated land title for the local police’s new office.

Tagbilaran City Mayor John Gesnell Yap formally turned over the land title to city police chief Supt. Nicomedes Olaivar in a ceremony held at the site of the new PNP building located right behind city hall.

According to Olaivar, the construction of the new police office will be completed within four months.

The PNP building will be three times bigger than new municipal police stations across the province.

Olaivar added that new police office will house quarters for policemen and the new lock-up jail for Tagbilaran City detainees.

Other than the construction of the new city police building, new municipal police stations across Bohol are also undergoing construction as part of the PNP’s modernization program. (Allen Doydora)
