A suspected pusher who is fourth in the Buenavista watch list of drug personalities was killed by police operatives in a buy-bust operation conducted in the said town on Wednesday.

According to Insp. Benicer Tamboboy, acting chief of police in Buenavista, suspect Donald Torregosa pulled out his firearm after sensing that he sold illegal drugs to an undercover cop.

Torregosa, a resident of Brgy. Hunan in Buenavista, was unable to fire his .38 caliber revolver as the municipal police led by Tamboboy shot and hit the suspect first.

The authorities rushed Torregosa to a hospital but the suspect was declared dead on arrival.

Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered from the scene a packet of suspected shabu, marked money used in the buy-bust and Torrega’s .38 caliber revolver which was loaded with five bullets.

Although Torregosa was part of the Buenavista police watch list, he did not yield to authorities under Oplan Tokhang, police said. (Allen Doydora)
