Tagbilaran City Vice Mayor Antonio “Toto” Veloso was the overwhelming choice of the 47 vice mayors in the province to lead the Vice Mayor’s League, Bohol Chapter for the next three years.

Veloso sits as the interim national president of the Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines after it’s president, Manila Vice Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso ran for senator in the recent May 9, 2016 elections.

The elections were held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Bohol Tropics Resort Hotel.

The new set of officers are Tubigon Vice Mayor (VM) Virgilio Fortich together with the three vice presidents for the 1st district – Alburquerque VM Cayetano Doria, 2nd district -  Danao VM Jose Cepedoza and for the 3rd district – Bilar VM Arnold Calamba.

Members of the Board of Directors representing the 1st district are Balilihan VM Adonis Roy Olalo and Calape VM Sulpicio Yu, 2nd district – Clarin VM Velden Aparicio and Sagbayan VM Charito Lao, 3rd district – Loboc VM Pablio Sumampong, Lila VM Atty. Arturo Jed Piollo ll and Candijay VM Jessie Sales.

The press relations officers for the 1st district are Corella VM Asuncion Daquio and Sikatuna VM Julian Manigo, 2nd district – Getafe VM Eduardo Torremocha and Ubay VM Nelson Uy and for the 3rd district – Duero VM Emma Fe Bajade and Jagna VM Bonifacio Bertudes, Jr.

Legal adviser of the Vice Mayors League is Buenavista VM Atty. Dave Duallo.

The new officers of the VMLP-Bohol Chapter were sworn into office by Provincial Administrator Alfonso “Ae” Damalerio representing Governor Edgar Chatto. (Chito M. Visarra and Rey Tutas)
