DepED Bohol earns BSP-7 outstanding partner award

The Department of Education (DepED) in Bohol came up among the five Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) outstanding stakeholder partners in 2015, and took home an eagle-in-flight trophy crafted by a renowned sculptor for its feat.

The eagle sculpture acts as trophy is a token of BSP appreciation for the crucial role of their stakeholders in partnership with them in realizing their goals of price stability, stable banking system, and a safe and reliable payments system

To better attain its goals, the BSP has been sustaining its partnerships in its ultimate motive to sustain economic growth by pounding on economic resilience to bring about inclusive growth.

DepED Bohol topped in implementing the BSP advocacy on the conduct of Public Information Campaigns, a known BSP advocacy area.

In the case of Bohol, DepED Superintendent Wilfreda Bongalos herself received the award from no less than BSP monetary Board Member Alfredo Antonio and Regional Monetary Affairs Sub-sector Deputy Director Iluminada Sicat.

For Bohol, its school based information campaign gained for the DepED its strong hold of the award, getting BSP a good foting.

During the BSP Stakeholders Awards for region 7, held at the BSP Cebu Complex, Monetary Board Member Antonio  explained that the awards is an annual tribute to partners and stakeholders for providing information support allowing the central bank to attain its goals of financial stability, efficient pricing and thus highlighting the crucial role of sustained partnerships.

Among the awardees for the 2016 BSP Stakeholders awards are the following: for business expectations survey information support, two Cebu-based Japanese firms Muramoto Audio Visual Philippines Incorporated won for large firms while Phil Japan Metals and Refined Products Co., Inc. took the award for small firms and stood over the rest of the entries in Central Visayas.

For outstanding partners as sources of information for the BSP, winning for region 7 is Philippine Statistics Authority.

In its campaign on the Demonetization of the New Design Series, named as the BSP outstanding partner is ABS-CBN Cebu/DyAB Cebu.

Both the Philippine Information Agency in Bohol and the office in Cebu came as runners up, according to Iluminada Sicat, who presented the awards to the winners.
