A man suspected of dealing illegal drugs was arrested by operatives of the City Anti-Ilegal Drug Special Operations Task Group in a buy-bust operation conducted in Calceta St., Brgy. Cogon, Tagbilaran City at 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The suspect, 38-year-old Edward Gepana, a native of Barangay Ermita in downtown Cebu CIty, previously surrendered to Tagbilaran City authorities through Oplan Tokhang, but reportedly continued to peddle drugs after.
Gepana was immediately collared after an undercover cop purchased P500 worth of suspected shabu from him in a buy-bust operation led by city police chief Supt. Nicomedes Olaivar Jr.
Operatives recovered four packs of suspected shabu from Gepana upon frisking him.
He is currently jailed at the detention facility of the Tagbilaran City police station.
According to police, the suspect was temporarily living in Calceta Street in Barangay Cogon. (Rey Tutas)
