Authorities of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday afternoon arrested Inabanga’s number six drug personality in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Ilaud of the said town.
Units of the Bohol police Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and the Inabanga PNP conducted the joint operation against 23-year-old Joel Estillore, a resident of Sitio Canwakwak of the said barangay.
Estillore was reportedly seen dealing illegal drugs by policemen who were conducting Oplan Tokhang in Barangay Ilaud.
The sighting prompted the composite police team to immediately set up a buy-bust operation against him.
Police said that Estillore was immediately apprehended after he sold suspected shabu worth P200 to a police poseur-buyer and was caught in possession of six other packets of the alleged contraband.
According to Chief Insp. Rolando Antipolo, team leader of the composite police team, Estillore is a newly known suspected pusher but had quickly made it into the municipal police’s watch list of top drug personalities.
Antipolo attributed Estillore’s inclusion in the list to the reported high volume of illegal drugs he sold on a daily basis in Inabanga and neighboring towns.
The suspect is currently detained at the lock-up jail of the Inabanga police station while authorities are preparing to file drug charges against him. (Willy Maestrado)
