An alleged pusher recently included in the Tagbilaran CIty drug watchlist and a self-confessed drug peddler were arrested by city police operatives in separate anti-drug operations over the weekend.
According to a police report, intelligence units on Saturday night spotted suspect Michael Castro, 34, selling illegal drugs at the Circumferential Rd., Poblacion 3 in Tagbilaran City.
The operatives immediately set up the buy-bust against Castro who later on was caught red-handed selling suspected shabu worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer.
Police recovered five other packs of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia from the suspect following the arrest.
According to SP04 Yolando Bagotchay of the city police intelligence section, Castro was recently listed in their watchlist of alleged drug personalities.
A few hours after the said operation, personnel of the Tagbilaran City police station arrested Jervis Brandon Maslog, 29, along Legones St., Barangay Bool.
The suspect, a resident of the said barangay, was apprehended following a buy-bust operation on Sunday at 1a.m.
Bagotchay said that Maslog sold suspected shabu worth P500 to an operative who posed as a buyer resulting in the suspect’s immediate arrest.
According to Nicomedes Olaivar, chief of the Tagbilaran City police, MAslog had just recently surrendered to authorities, but continued to peddle illegal drugs.
Castro and Maslog are currently detained at the lock-up jail of the Tagbilaran City police station pending the filing of charges against them for possession and sale of illegal drugs. (Willy Maestrado) Â
