A former councilor in the town of Cortes on Friday dawn was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted against a female alleged drug dealer in Manigque Compound, J. Borja St., in Tagbilaran CIty.
Police chanced upon Celerino Jubac, a former legislator in the town of Cortes, and three other men engaging in a pot session during the sting operation intended for 33-year-old Ritchie â€œJaiâ€ Tutor.
The operatives were also able toÂ arrest Tutor, who is resident of the said city address, as she sold a packet of suspected shabu worth P500 to an undercover policeman.
Tutor was reportedly with Jubac, a resident of Brgy. Salvador, Cortes, and three other men during the anti-illegal drug operation.
The three suspected illegal drug users who are all Tagbilaran CIty residents were identified as Rod Capuno, 45, a resident of CPG East Avenue; Emmanuel Roy Esperanza, 40, from Lindaville Subdivision; and Asterio Baba Jr., 31, from VP Inting Ave, Mansasa Dist.
The police operatives recovered from the four suspected drug users four packets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernila while Tutor yielded three other sachets of the alleged contraband.
All of five of the suspects are currently detained in Tagbilaran City while authorities are preparing to file charges against them for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Rey Tutas)
