Baclayon buy-bust nets alleged pusher in watchlist, P100-T ‘shabu’

A suspected drug pusher was collared by police in a buy-bust operation that led to the confiscation of P110,000 worth of shabu on Monday in Baclayon.

Operatives of the Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) and the Baclayon police conducted the joint operation against Jeffrey Gabisan, a resident of Brgy. San Vicente, Baclayon.

The composite police team immediately arrested Gabisan after he allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to an undercover policeman.

According to police, the operation was set in motion after monitoring police offers spotted the suspect selling illegal drugs.

Aside from the buy-bust money, operatives seized 12 packets of suspected shabu approximately weighing 10 grams.

Based on Dangerous Drug Board value, the haul was estimated to be worth P110,000.

Superintendent Patricio Degay, chief of the PPSC, said that the suspect is included in Baclayon’s watchlist of drug personalities.

Gabisan is currently jailed at the detention facility of the Baclayon police pending the filing of charges against him for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Willy Maestrado)
