Sustaining its intensified anti-drug drive, the Inabanga police arrested in a single buy-bust on Thursday the fourth and fifth drug suspect within 48 hours.
Operatives of the Inabanga police and Regional Public Safety Battalion-7 conducted the joint operation against 26-year-old Margarito Lofranco, a resident of Brgy. Liloan Norte of the said town.
Lofranco was allegedly spotted by police as he was selling drugs in Brgy. U-og, Inabanga, which led operatives to conduct the operation.
He was collared by operatives after he allegedly sold shabu worth P300 to a police poseur-buyer.
Police said that the suspect tried to evade arrest but was immediately subdued by policemen stationed around the buy-bust area.
Operatives confiscated from Lofranco four packets of suspected shabu.
Also arrested during the operation was Lofranco’s companion, Sergio Aparicio, 30.
The second suspect, also a resident of Brgy. Liloan Norte, yielded three packs of white crystalline substance believed to shabu.
According to Senior Insp. Marcus Lopez, Inabanga police chief, the two suspects are part of a newly known group of drug personalities in the town.
