Don’t get sick these days and wanting to get admitted in a city hospital as there will be no space for you.
This was confirmed when checked by the Chronicle amid reports that all hospitals in the city were full during the past weeks.
In the six hospitals, there were only two beds available, out of the 510 hospital beds when verified yesterday afternoon.
There was no epidemic reported, but just ordinary medical cases.
The high occupancy of hospitals based in the city simply showed the need for more hospitals here.
The hospitals which were fully occupied were the 250-bed Gov. Celestino Gallares Regional Hospital,100-bed Ramiro Hospital, 50-bed Holy Name University Hospital, 40-bed Borja Hospital, 40-bed Tagbilaran Community Hospital and 30-bed Tagbilaran Maternity Hospital,
The congestion of patients were noted remarkable at the government-run Gallares Hospital which will soon have its expansion project. Once completed the maximum bed capacity will double to 500 patients.
