The Tagbilaran City Airport will launch on Monday next week free Wi-Fi which can be accessed inside its passenger terminal.
Airport authorities said that the internet connection can be first accessed at 2 p.m. on the same day as the Information Communication Technology Summit which will be held in Bohol.
The installation of the system is intended to let passengers inside the terminal settle transactions and other businesses while waiting to board their aircraft.
Growing traffic at the province’s lone airport like those in key cities in the country was also considered in offering the free internet connection inside its terminal.
Other terminals in Bohol such as those in the Tagbilaran City and Tubigon seaports have also installed free Wi-Fi systems for passengers.
The installation has been the answer of government offices to President Rodrigo Duterte’s call to have internet connection in key public areas in the country.
The directive was issued by the Duterte during his first State of the Nation Address last July. (Allen Doydora and Rey Tutas)
