A five-story building of the state-run Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) will soon rise at the Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay.

A total of P47 million has been earmarked for the construction of the 200-bed ward which had its groundbreaking earlier today.

The event was led by Department of Health Asst. Secretary Dr. Leonita Gorgolon,  chief of hospital Dr. Mutya Kismet Macuno, 2nd District Congressman Aristotle Aumentado, several Bohol mayors, hospital staff and other officials.

The DOH funded the project through the request of Aumentado in an effort to expand health services in the town and the entire district.
