Top Bohol officials including mayors are meeting today with a team from the Duterte administration led by Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Dino in Cebu to strengthen ties between Bohol and the national government.
The Bohol party will be led by Gov. Edgar Chatto and comprised of other officials including the Provincial Board and members of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines-Bohol headed by Clarin Mayor Allen Ray Piezas.
According to Board Member Ricky Masamayor, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s plan to acquire a mobile clinic would be among the top priorities of the SP during the meeting.
Masamayor said that that the SP would personally convey the appeal of having the plan materialized to former Marine Major Gen. Alexander Balutan, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office general manager, should he be present at the meeting.
The SP, through a resolution authored by Board Member Jade Bautista, intends to deploy a mobile clinic replete with medical equipment to various towns in Bohol, particularly far-flung areas.
Dino had recently met with Bohol officials during his latest visit to the province last month. (Rey Tutas)Â
