An alleged big-time drug dealer was arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Loboc police in raid conducted at dawn on Tuesday.
Authorities identified the suspect as Arthur Lim, 54, a resident of Barangay Agape, Loboc.
The operatives raided Lim’s residence based on a search warrant issued by Executive Presiding Judge Dionicio Calibo Jr, of the Regional Trial Court Branch 50 in Loay.
Police said that Lim yielded five packets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
According to Senior Insp. Reymund Halasan, chief of the Loboc Police Station, Lim has long been tagged as a big-time drug dealer in the town.
Halasan said that the suspect was recently subjected to Oplan Tokhang but refused to surrender to police, prompting the authorities to conduct the anti-drug operation.
Lim is currently detained at the lock-up jail of the Loboc police pending the filing of drug charges against him. (Wellie Maestrado)
