Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Manny Pacquio through a unanimous decision in their much awaited but lackluster battle billed as “The Fight of the Century” on May 2, 2015.

Only few believed senator Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will retire after defeating Timothy Bradley-sending him to canvas three times—last April. Two months after being elected senator- by July ,Pacman was salivating to box in the ring again.

Pacquiao has not stopped a boxer after Miguel Cotto in 2009. There are, however, three motivations why Pacman will knock out WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas today.  He will become the first nine-titled boxer in history which may  never be equaled in our lifetime. Second, Pacman still thinks-without an injured shoulder- he can take Floyd Mayweather to school, again.  Third, Pacman needs to settle some tax liabilities with the BIR and without PDAF- he needs money to help his neglected Mindanao.

Pacman will win because Vargas has neither offense nor defense based on the fight we viewed versus Timothy Bradley. His only  defense is to run- he cannot run 12 rounds. He has no offense- one two combinations are all he has-and the reason he almost decked Bradley in the 12th was the latter was tired and careless because Timothy  was very much ahead on points.

The betting shows. Your $700 for Pacman will only return $100 and $475 on Vargas will yield $700. Also, Filipino Flash Nonito Donaire is expected to defend his WBO title by stopping the unbeaten but cocky Mexican Jessie Magdaleno.  Two Jessies are going down today.
