The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) warned the public on Friday against groups of swindlers using the name and logo of the organization for their modus.

NCIP officials were recently informed about tricksters aligning themselves with NCIP as they conduct illegal activities, said Totsie Escobia, chief of Capitol’s Effective Development Communications Unit.

According to the NCIP, the use of their name and logo without permission is strictly prohibited particularly in making commitments and transactions.

Officials urged the public to report cases of the said modus at the NCIP’s office as the activity has become rampant.
