The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) cancelled its out-of-town session scheduled today due to the necrological services for former board member and Alburquerque mayor Msgr. Margarito Gonzaga.

Members of the SP and its presiding officer, Vice Governor Dionisio Balite, attended the wake of Gonzaga at the Bohol Cultural Center Thursday morning.

However, the SP proceeded with its session at the Benigno Aquino Session Hall at the Capitol after paying tribute to Gonzaga.

Gonzaga, dubbed “Church Builder” due to the many churches he had built, passed away at the age of 94 on Tuesday, which was the 75th founding anniversary of the Diocese of Tagbilaran.
