The top police official in Tagbilaran City is mulling to auction off some impounded motorcycles which he labeled as “eye sores†in their office.
Superintendent Nicomedes Olaivar, Tagbilaran City police chief, said that the city police is planning to sell motorcycles that are not being claimed by owners at an auction.
Yesterday, 20 motorcycles were taken to the Bohol police crime laboratory for stencil checking while owners were issued notices.
Motorcycles which will remain unclaimed will be auctioned off.
Olaivar noted that they are also planning to move the impounding area of motorcycles at the former location of the Cooperative Hospital at Booy Annex in Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran City.
However, security measures still need to be implemented at the said area.
According to Olaivar, the area is still not safe from thieves. (Weli Maestrado)
