Man, 65, hacked to death by son in Sierra Bullones

A 65-year-old man was allegedly hacked to death by his son on Tuesday in Sierra Bullones.

Police identified the victim as Raymundo Beroy, a farmer who lived in Purok 4, Barangay Canta-ub, Sierra Bullones.

According neighbors of the victim, the grisly murder was perpetrated by Beroy’s 28-year-old son Jimmy Beroy who was immediately apprehended by police.

The witnesses said that they saw the victim soaked in blood from the wounds he sustained prompting them to take Beroy to a nearby hospital.

However, Beroy succumbed to his injuries as attending physicians declared the victim dead several minutes after reaching the hospital.

According to police, they are still conducting a probe to identify the suspect’s motive in allegedly killing his father.

The younger Beroy is currently detained at the lock-up jail in Sierra Bullones while appropriate charges are being prepared by authorities against him. (WM)
