Two suspected drug personalities who are included in the Tagbilaran City police and Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) drug watch lists were arrested in the city on Friday for allegedly selling illegal drugs.

Anti-narcotics units of city police led by SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay nabbed Guardson Binarao of Pob. III and Bonifacio Putong, Jr. of Sta. Cruz, Baclayon in a buy-bust operation at Marapao St. in Tagbilaran City.

Binaroa and Putong have been monitored by the city police and BPPO, respectively, as entries in their watch list of alleged drug personalities.

A poseur-buyer allegedly transacted with Binarao and paid the suspect P500 in exchange for shabu.

However, Binarao suspected that he was transacting with a poseur-buyer prompting him to run.

Binarao was eventually cornered as he also led the operatives to Putong who was caught in possession of three packets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Charges for violating Section 5 and Section 12 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects. (Weli Maestrado)
