A former commissioned police officer who is a nephew of the late former National Bureau of Investigation director Reynaldo Wycoco was arrested in a raid by NBI agents on Thursday.
The suspect, former police inspector Antonioli Wycoco, 46, was arrested at his residence in Remolador Ext., Brgy. Cogon, Tagbilaran City at 3:00 p.m along with two others including a former village councilor.
According to NBI-Bohol executive officer Atty. Arcelito Albao, Wycoco is listed in their drug watch list as a high-value target.
Wycoco was repeatedly subjected to Oplan Tokhang by Tagbilaran City police but continued to conduct illegal drug activities, Albao said.
Also arrested during the raid were drug suspects Terso Sale, a 41-year-old former councilor of Brgy. Tiptip and Kenneth Estoce, 44, a resident of Brgy. Dao, Tagbilaran City.
NBI operatives raided Wycoco’s home bearing a search warrant issued by Judge Suceso Arcamo, executive presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 47.
They were able to seize packets of shabu, marijuana seeds and drug paraphernalia.
Albao said that drug charges are set to be filed against the three suspects who are detained at the NBI lock-up facility. (Weli Maestrado)
