A man reportedly in a bout with several illnesses stabbed himself dead inside his room at his house along Mansasa-Dampas Road, Tagbilaran City.

The victim, identified as Rogelio Sarabia, 52, was found dead by his daughter on Thursday.

At 5:30 p.m., Sarabia’s daughter reportedly came home from school and saw his father sprawled on the ground and drenched in his own blood due to a stab wound in his chest.

According to Sarabia’s wife, the victim repeatedly threatened to kill himself prior to the incident.

She said that his suicidal tendencies arose after he started battling illnesses including diabetes, high blood pressure and a heart ailment.

Based on police investigation, there were no indications of foul play in Sarabia’s death. (Weli Maestrado)
