A 29-year-old man was killed in a brawl between two groups in Barangay Bugang Norte, Bilar on Saturday evening.
The fatality, identified as Ronel Anoc, was stabbed in his rib while Pablito Organisa, 36, was injured with a stab wound in his waist.
Three suspects identified as Jobel Organisa, 28; Robel Dispo, 25 and Rody Calalin, 32, all residents of Brgy. Bugang Sur, Bilar were arrested by responding policemen.
According to Bilar police chief Insp. Edgardo Chan, the victims and suspects all came from a wedding and were under the influence of alcohol.
During the drinking session, the men figured in a heated argument which led to the brawl, Chan added.
The victims reportedly tried to end the altercation by telling the suspects to all go home as they were all drunk.
The suspects then left but allegedly went back to one of the victimâ€™s house to start the brawl resulting in the death of Anoc.
Chan said that charges are set to be filed against the arrested suspects. (Allen Dodyora)
