A drug suspect who was arrested by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents on Saturday and said to be a project manager of Eskaya Resort was disowned by the resort management.
In an email sent by Atty. Eldrige Marvin Aceron of the Aceron, Punzalan Vehemente Avila & Pajarin Law Offices to the Chronicle, the resort’s legal counsel categorically said the suspect identified as Kennedy Fernando is not an employee of the resort.
The law firm likewise clarified that the arrest of Fernando did not happen inside nor within the vicinity of Eskaya Resort.
The clarification issued by Eskaya Resort’s legal counsel came after the NBI reported yesterday that Fernando was a project manager of Eskaya Resort.
According to Atty Arcelito Albao, NBI-Bohol executive officer who led the operation, the 58-year old suspect was arrested by operatives  after allegedly selling shabu to a female undercover agent
Albao said that the suspect was on board his car during the sting operation conducted on Saturday evening.
The NBI officer noted that Fernando has long been included in the agency’s drug watch list.
