A man who recently surrendered under Oplan Tokhang in Guindulman was arrested by policemen of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and Jagna on Monday evening.

The joint operatives arrested suspect Elmer “Jijie” Maputol who allegedly yielded shabu worth P66,080 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ipil, Jagna.

Maputol, a resident of Brgy.Bayabas Guindulman, was reportedly seen selling shabu at 6:30 p.m. in Jagna prompting the policemen to set up the sting operation against him.

According to PIB chief P/Chief Insp. Rolando Antipolo, the suspect was caught in possession of 23 small packets of shabu which weighed 5.60 grams.

Antipolo said that Maputol is included in the PIB’s drug watchlist.

Authorities are set to file charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs against Maputol, Antipolo added. (Weli Maestrado)
