A suspected coordinator of illegal numbers game locally known as “Swertres” was arrested by policemen of the Provincial Intelligence Branch and Special Operations Group on Monday night.

The joint operatives under the supervision of P/Chief Insp. Rolando Antipolo arrested suspect Nanding Tan, 32, near his residence in Purok 5, Barangay Bool, Tagbilaran City.

Sylvia Marie Baculpo, 27, who was with Tan during the operation was also taken into police custody.

Tan was allegedly caught in possession of papers believed to be used as tally sheets and money placed as a bet by an undercover policeman.

According to the PIB, Tan is included in the Bohol Provincial Police Office’s list of illegal gambling personalities.

Tan is now detained at detention facility in Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City pending the filing of formal charges against him. (Weli Maestrado)
