The new order implementing a 13-peso daily minimum wage increase in Central Visayas has been forwarded to the National Wage and Productivity Board for review, said a Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) official.
According DOLE Bohol chief Gerry Guidaben, the order which was issued by the Regional Tripartite Wage and Productivity Board-7 (RTWPB-7) last month will undergo the mandatory process before it is made public within 15 days.
Guidaben said that Wage Order No. 20 has been signed by RTWPB-7 officials and was forwarded to the national office through email.
After about a week, the order which stipulates the increase of the minimum wage in the region from P310 to P323 will be made public and will take effect 15 days after the publication.
The DOLE also noted that the 1,000-peso minimum wage for house helpers in Central Visayas has been approved. (Allen Doydora)
