A male 17-year-old who was allegedly caught selling illegal drugs and his supplier were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Wednesday afternoon.

According to PDEA provincial head Ferdinand Kintanar, the minor was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted along Maria Clara St. in Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City.

The suspect was allegedly caught in possession of two packets of shabu.

Kintanar said that during interrogation, the arrested minor pointed authorities to one Anthony Violanda who was allegedly his drug supplier.

The PDEA then set in motion another sting operation which resulted in the arrest of Violanda along K of C Drive in Poblacion 2, Tagbilaran City.

Operatives were able to confiscate three grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P5,000 and drug paraphernalia from Violanda.

Violanda was taken and detained at the Tagbilaran City police lock-up jail while the minor was turned over to the office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. (Allen Doydora)
