A barangay councilor in Duero who was allegedly caught selling shabu was arrested by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives on Wednesday.
The PDEA agents reportedly arrested Herman Felisilda, a 52-year-old village councilor of Barangay Langkis, in a buy bust operation at 2:35 p.m.
Felisilda was spotted by operatives selling illegal drugs in the said barangay prior to transacting with an undercover PDEA agent.
The suspect then allegedly sold shabu worth P1,000 to the poseur-buyer resulting in his immediate arrest.
According to a PDEA report, they were able to confiscate six more packets of shabu estimated to be worth P15,000 from the suspect.
The PDEA said that Felisilda had previously surrendered to Duero authorities under Oplan Tokhang but continued to engage in illegal drug activities.
Felisilda is being held at the detention facility in Camp Dagohoy pending the filing of drug charges against him. (WM)
