A 40-year-old man was arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) after he was allegedly caught in the act of selling illegal drugs in front of the Cogon Barangay Hall in Tagbilaran City.
Suspect Jackson Landeras, a resident of Upper Calceta, Barangay Cogon in Tagbilaran City, was arrested in a buy-bust operation at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
PDEA agents reportedly set the operation in motion after Landeras was seen selling illegal drugs in front of said barangay hall.
The suspect allegedly sold shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover agent resulting in his immediate arrest.
According to the PDEA, they confiscated five more packets and a large pack of shabu from the suspect.
Upon arrest, Landeras denied the sale of illegal drugs but admitted to using the prohibited substance.
Landeras is currently detained at the lock-up jail in Camp Dagohoy pending the filing of charges against him. (Weli Maestrado)
