PNP nabs 3, seizes P30K ‘shabu’ in Tagbilaran buy-bust

The Tagbilaran City Police Station (TCPS) picked up from where it left off prior to the suspension of the police’s anti-drug operations as city cops immediately pounced on drug suspects Saturday evening.

Policemen of the TCPS anti-narcotics unit seized suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P30,000 in a buy-bust operation at H.Brunidor Street, Brgy. Cogon, Tagbilaran City.

The police anti-drug operation was set in motion after select policemen were redeployed to the frontlines of the government’s war on drugs ending a weeks-long hiatus.

Based on police report, operatives led by SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay arrested buy-bust subject Alexis Socias, 29, along with two other men during the operation at 4:30 p.m.

Socias was allegedly caught in possession of 19 pieces of assorted sizes packets of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.

He and the two other suspects identified as Lyndon Oronan, 28, and Matt Duga-Duga, 37, were then taken to the TCPS for proper booking.

Bohol police director Sr. Supt. Felipe Natividad told the Chronicle on Staurday that the anti-drug operation of the Philippine National Police has resumed in close coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Natividad said that selected policemen will compose drug enforcement units from the national down to the provincial level which will be utilized solely for anti-illegal drug operations.
