A man listed as the number one alleged drug personality in the town of Talibon and his companion were arrested by police operatives at 9:50 a.m. on Friday.
Top drug suspect Jonathan Sitoy, 33, was arrested near his residence at Sitio Pasil, Barangay Poblacion, Talibon in a buy-bust operation conducted by the municipal policeâ€™s drug enforcement unit.
The alleged drug dealer was nabbed along with one Armando De Guzman, a 50-year-old carpenter, who allegedly sold shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Sitoy reportedly received the marked money paid by the undercover policeman.
Police allegedly recovered one medium-sized pack of shabu from De Guzman while two medium packs and five packets of shabu were confiscated from Sitoy.
According to Senior Insp. Norman Nuez, the suspects who are neighbors surrendered under Oplan Tokhang but continued to sell illegal drugs.
Both suspects are detained at the Talibon lock-up jail pending the filing of charges against them for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Rey Tutas)
