A 60-year-old woman was killed while three others were injured after two motorcycles figured in a head-on collision in Inabanga on Tuesday afternoon.

The fatality, Segundina Vistal, came from Barangay Poblacion to claim her social pension with husband 63-year-old Pepito Vistal who was driving the motorcycle during the accident, said Jonathan, their son.

Pepito, a resident of Brgy. Maria Rosario of said town, was severely injured while those on board the opposing motorcycle, cousins Jerven Hecale, 18, and Limar Hecale, 16, suffered several cuts.

The Hecales, residents of Batuan, were reportedly speeding when they collided against the Vistals in Barangay Lutaw, Inabanga.

All of those involved in the accident were rushed to hospitals including Segundina who was referred to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City.

However, Segundina succumbed to injuries particularly in her head several minutes after arriving at the hospital.

According to police, none of the victims were wearing helmets during the incident. (Allen Doydora)
