A woman who allegedly swindled over P1 million from numerous victims in Cebu and Bohol was arrested by police from both provinces in an operation in Cogon, Carcar City on Wednesday morning.
Police identified the suspect as Myra Plarisan Cabahug, a 40-year-old resident of Poblacion 1, Carcar City who uses several aliases such as Merna Maluping and Myrna Maluping.
Cabahug was collared at 6:45 a.m. by a composite police team comprised of operatives from Carcar City, Tubigon, Lila and Alicia, and bearing an arrest warrant issued by RTC Branch 26 in Argao, Cebu.
Prior to the arrest, the suspect was already collared by police and charged with estafa and three counts of theft but was able to post bail.
According to police, Cabahug has been positively identified by one of her victims.

Cabahug who is detained at the Carcar City Police Station has been tagged as one of the suspects in the series of alleged budol-budol schemes carried out in Bohol during the previous months.
