A man listed in the Talibon police’s watch list of drug personalities was arrested in a drug raid conducted in an island-village of the said town on Friday.
Authorities identified the suspect as Jose Rene Delima, 46, a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Nocnocan in Talibon.
In a report, police indicated that personnel of the Bohol Provincial Police Office’s Provincial Intelligence Branch searched Delima’s residence at around 2 a.m.
The operatives raided the house bearing a search warrant issued by Judge Marivic Trabaho-Daray, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 52 in Talibon, police said.
Packets of shabu weighing 5.05 grams with an estimated street value of P55,000 was found in the suspect’s house.
Meanwhile, a companion of the suspect who is reportedly a son of a barangay official was able to evade police arrest.
According to authorities, Delima who is now detained at the town’s lock-up jail will be charged for possession of illegal drugs. (AD)
