A 19-year-old man was found dead Wednesday night after committing suicide inside his family’s house in Tubigon reportedly due to a strained relationship with his girlfriend.
SPO1 Ernesto Carcallas of the Tubigon Police Station identified the victim as Kevin Nacario of Barangay Cahayag of said town.
According to Carcallas, Nacario used a rope to hang himself inside his room.
Police immediately investigated the case after the victim’s mother alerted them of the incident at 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
Authorities believe that the victim was alone in his room when he took his own life.
In their initial probe, police found a text message in Nacario’s phone addressed to his girlfriend.
Nacario asked for forgiveness from the woman and bade goodbye, said Carcallas.
He was no longer rushed to a hospital as a responding municipal doctor declared him dead at the house.
Nacario is believed to have died at least two hours prior to the discovery of his body. (A. Doydora)
