Two noted drug suspects both listed in the police’s watch list were arrested by intelligence officers of the Tagbilaran City police in an “Oplan Bulabog” operation on Tuesday afternoon.
Police identified the suspects as Nazareno “Noknok” Dahunan, 34, and Ryan “Rinrin” Sanchez, 22, both residents of Barangay Poblacion in Tagbilaran.
In a report, police indicated that both suspects yielded shabu with an estimated street value of P45,000.
According to SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay of the Tagbilaran police’s intelligence section, they responded to reports noting that both suspects were spotted selling drugs across Lite Port along Gallares Street.
Operatives led by Bagotchay then spotted Dahunan and Sanchez in the said area and immediately arrested both suspects.
Dahunan previously surrendered under Oplan Tokhang but remained in the police’s watch list as he maintained involvement in illegal drug trade, Bagotchay said.
Meanwhile, Sanchez was only recently included in the Tagbilaran police’s drug watch list as he is a noted associate of Dahunan in the drug trade.
Both suspects are now etained at the Tagbilaran City lock-up jail while authorities are preparing to filed drug charges against them. (WM)
