A 36-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot by motorcycle-riding men who rode in tandem in Guindulman at past 4 p.m. on Thursday, police said.
According to Guindulman police chief Sr. Insp. Erano Regidor, victim Jimbo Busano, a native of Pilar town, sustained three gunshot wounds.
Busano, a construction worker, was taking a break from working on the rehabilitation of a road in the area during the attack, Regidor said.
He was standing at a waiting shed when the suspects on board an XRM motorcycle with no plate number suddenly shot him multiple times, Regidor added.
The suspects who were wearing bonnets to hide their faces immediately fled the area while Busano was rushed to a hospital.
Busano is now undergoing a surgical operation and is still in critical condition due to the gunshot wounds.
According to Regidor, police are eyeing personal conflict as motive behind the gun attack. (AD)
