The Bohol Provincial Board (PB) on Friday commended Karen Gallman after she was crowned Bininbining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018 on March 18.
Gallman, 25, was honored by the provincial government through a congratulatory resolution sponsored by Board Member Dionisio Victor Balite during the PB’s regular session.
According to Balite, Gallman’s feat deserved the recognition from the entire provincial government as it brought pride and honor to the province.
“Because of the honor that she gives to Province of Bohol, it is but right and fitting to give her due recognition of her achievement”, Balite said in his privilege speech.
In 2012, the Filipino-Australian first joined Binibining Pilipinas at the age of 19.
She made it to the top 12 and was chosen as Miss Photogenic of the batch.
Gallman, who was crowned Miss Ubay 2007, was born on September 27, 1992 to Gavin William Gallman, a retired Australian soldier, and Ubay native Editha Bayonas.
Gallman was raised in Brisbane, Australia. (RT)
