A 47-year-old photographer was arrested after allegedly selling shabu to an undercover police officer in Panglao on Monday night.

The suspect, Glen Egdamen of Cebu City, who takes pictures of tourists for a living, has allegedly been selling drugs to vacationers in Panglao.

Although Egdamen denied the allegation, he claimed that he sourced his drug stash from porters at the Tagbilaran City pier.

According to Egdamen, the shabu sold by Tagbilaran porters were smuggled into the city port through a fastcraft from Cebu.

Porters of the Cebu City port hid the drug stash in the vessel’s toilet while their Tagbilaran counterparts retrieved the illegal substance upon arrival in Bohol, said Egdamen.

The smuggling method had allegedly been ongoing for a while.

Egdamen meanwhile told police that his drug supply was only provided to tourists who he escorted while in Bohol.

He was allegedly caught in possession of P4,500 worth of shabu.

According to authorities, Egdamen is now under police custody and will be charged for sale and possession of illegal drugs. (WM)
