A suspected big-time drug dealer who allegedly sourced her shabu supply from Cebu City was arrested by intelligence officers of the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) in a sting operation in Tagbilaran City on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said that suspect Ma. Theresa Cepeda, 29, of Baranagay Dampas in Tagbilaran City was caught in possession of illegal drugs worth P225,000 and was arrested along with her live-in partner, Christian Celeregia, 18.
According to the BPPO Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), suspected drug pusher Jasmin Suico who was also arrested for sale and possession of illegal drugs last week pinpointed Cepeda as her shabu supplier.
Suico, a former live-in partner of a police officer and part of the BPPO’s drug watch list, told authorities that Cepeda was receiving shabu supply from Cebu City and fetched the drug stash herself at the Tagbilaran City pier.
Cepeda also claimed that the drug supply was being smuggled in through commercial vessels.
Both Cepeda and Suico are now under the custody of the BPPO in Camp Dagohoy.
On Wednesday last week, Suico along with Jovenal Remolador, a seaman, was arrested by PIB and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group police operatives in a drug buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City.
The suspects allegedly yielded shabu worth P300,000. (wm)
