President Rodrigo Duterte will be arriving in Bohol on Thursday morning to address the country’s vice mayors during their annual convention, a three-day event which started Wednesday, at a resort in Panglao.
During a press conference on Wednesday, it was noted by the Presidential Communications Operations Office that Duterte will be at the Bellevue Resort at 3 p.m. on the same day of his arrival.
Prior to his main engagement in Panglao, the President will be attending a reception party led by Governor Edgar Chatto, Vice Mayor Donnabbelle Mejia of Magsaysay, the national president of the Vice Mayors League of the Philippines and Tagbilaran Vice Mayor Toto Veloso, the convention’s director.
Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Dino will be introducing Duterte for his delivery of his keynote speech during the convention.
Duterte is expected to be accompanied by Special Assistant to the President Bong Go and some members of his Cabinet.
The event will be concluded with a fellowship night party. However, it could not be confirmed if Duterte will still join the nighttime affair. (rt)
